Jamie Sampson Photography wants you

I have an idea for a photo session, but I need your help.

I am looking for a couple who owns or has access to one or two old fashioned bikes, one or two of the newer beach cruiser retro bikes or a Vespa or two.

If you are this couple please email me (email address: jamie@jamie-sampson.com) a snapshot of your cute selves.

The selected couple will receive a free photo session, a complimentary 8×10 and 25% off any additional prints or products.

Can’t wait!

Quarantined in a haze of Vic’s Vapor Rub

I have a cold.

I was supposed to be spending the day with adorable children taking their photos but alas due to my over zealous snot producing nose and hacking cough, I spent the day with a fabulous robin egg blue bowl and some cherries.  It is not quite the same but I completely enjoyed myself.  There is something nice about taking photos just for the joy of taking photos.  :)

Lots of hugs and sanitizing hand wash, hope you have a happy week.

a moment, a perfect moment

The other day as I was climbing the stairs up to my studio and office, I was on auto-pilot, not really noticing the things around me, just focusing on the ho-hum of daily life and the things I had to get done…..

As I reached the top landing of the stairs, I glanced up and saw my name on the door, my breath caught in my throat.  ”Oh my Gosh,” I thought, “this is my space”….  As I stuck my key in the lock, I felt myself smiling.  As I opened the big heavy glass door, a little giggle escaped my mouth.  As I walked around, I felt amazed and giddy and couldn’t help but smile.  I touched the linen fabric on the modern sunshine yellow couch, I adjusted the quirky but comfy pillows on the chairs, I straightened the little brochures sitting on the recycled but chic metal side table, I looked around at my work hanging on the walls.  I took a deep breath and felt my eyes start to water.  A few tears rolled down my cheeks as I realized how far I had come and how how grateful I was for all of it.

Thank you to everyone who helped or was a part of one of my dreams coming true.  :)

A fabulous way to spend Saturday afternoon

I spent a lovely rain filled Saturday with Daniel and Jordan.  They got married.  It was perfect.  I got to photograph it.  I loved it.

I couldn’t decide which edit I liked the best….   so I posted 3.  :)

Lots of hugs.   Hope your week is happy.

Jack

This is Jack.  I like him.  He likes doggy snacks.

He was all about snuggles.  I wanted to take his picture, he wanted to sit on my lap and stick his nose against my cheek.  I think we made a great pair.

Fall Sessions

I am booked through August.  My fall sessions fill up quickly so if you want one of them please call or email me asap.

Can’t wait.  :)

the little twinkle in her eye

I love this one.   Isn’t it classic and romantic?   I think it might end up on the wall in my office.

Nigel (aka, one cute little kid)
